The above is a picture of the main VideoStar circuit boards along with a Jim's Mobile NGF-S focuser.

The VideoStar has an output which drives the DC motor of the NGF-S and reads back values from the optical encoder (the shiny thing on the bottom of the focuser). Together, this yields an accurate system for focusing the telescope.
